Rent the Upschulte House and Courtyard

Upschulte House & Memorial Courtyard

The Upschulte House was constructed in the 1830's in the 300 block of West High Street in Jefferson City. It is an excellent example of traditional German architecture. In 1980 the Upschulte House was moved behind the Cole County Historical Society Museum at 109 Madison Street.

The Society conducted a successful campaign to rehabilitate the old Upschulte House.  The Courtyard, with its memorial bricks and cast iron gazebo, was built by volunteers.

This lovely, intimate setting is the perfect place for small weddings, renewing vows, second marriages, anniversary or birthday parties, elegant children's parties, luncheons, private dinner parties, graduation parties, or fundraisers.

We offer intimate, comfortable seating for 35 inside the house or 70 outside in the courtyard.

Use the caterer of your choice, or bring in your own food and beverage.
