Take a Tour!

February through November, the museum is open to the public for tours during the hours of 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

The Cole County Historical Society will be closed for walk-in tours from December 15 until February 1, though tours can be made by appointment through our office.

 

Private tours are available to school groups and delegations from clubs and conventions. Arrangements for groups of 15 or more can be made by calling the museum at (573) 635-1850.

OFFICE HOURS are Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

RESEARCH LIBRARY HOURS are Monday and Tuesday: 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Additional days by appointment.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE

Scope of the Collection: The Society's collections include paintings, pictures, records, documents, and other artifacts directly related to the history of Cole County, including its role as the seat of Missouri State government.

Special displays include inaugural gowns of Missouri's first ladies, Victorian home decor, and our Civil War Room.

Adults - $5.00

Seniors (55 Plus) - $4.00
Youth (grades K-12) - $3.00
Children under 5 and Members - Free
